In the summer of 1995, a young married couple with their newborn daughter left Germany as they set out to embark their new adventure in Togo, Saskatchewan, Canada where the family had bought a small farm. Over the years, they welcomed two more girls into their family and with their hard-work and dedication, watched as their small farm began to expand and flourish.
When their eldest daughter - a recent graduate from Providence University College with a B.A. in Business Administration - aspired to come back to the farm after graduation, the family decided to look into the idea of a business expansion. After much research and thought, The Bordertown Milling Company Ltd. was founded in early 2017 by the father-daughter duo: Konrad and Christine Zangl.
Today, with over 20 years of farming and family business experience, this family is setting out on yet another adventure: creating a whole wheat flour with optimal baking purposes using their best award-winning wheat for you, their valued customers.
